Rod’s youth was spent mostly in the outdoors. As an Eagle Scout, he camped and hiked his way throughout the United States and into some overseas countries. After completing his degree at University of Nebraska, Rod found himself teaching high school English. A stint of working with Paramount Films, then on to working in the brokerage industry and venture capital markets, Rod returned to the outdoors that he always loved.
No matter where Rod’s experiences took him, he always planted a garden, flowers and trees. He returned to his home state of Nebraska in the 1990’s and establishment of Wolf Landscape Design, Llc in 1999. Rod’s love of arboriculture, creative ideas and education provide the ideal combination that supports his landscape company’s goals.
Rod is a Nebraska certified arborist, Nebraska licensed chemical applicator, and a Nebraska licensed nurseryman. He holds memberships in the Nebraska Nursery and Landscape Association, the Nebraska Arborist Association, and the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum. Rod is a past and current officer in the Ogallala Tree Advisory Board, a member of the Board of Directors for Keep Keith County Beautiful, as well as being a ReTree Nebraska Initiative Ambassador. Rod serves on the Central Nebraska Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors and is active in procuring trees for plantings at each new home build in the affiliate.

Working with my dog, Wolf, brings me joy every day. He is a companion and a friend. I hate to call him a hobby; since I’m really just his driver!
I have expanded my life in the last couple of years by adding my
fiancée, Dorothy, and her loving Maltese, Lucy. Wolf, Lucy, Dorothy and I make up my family. Life is good.
