As Rod states, “this company started with a man, a dog and a truck.” Like
many privately owned companies,
Wolf Landscape Design started with baby steps of firewood production, tree care and tree
planting. It took a couple of years to clearly define the company’s
 mission.
Today, the truck has long since become part of history and has been replaced by a fleet. The original dog for which the company was named,
“Wolf” at right, was replaced by “Wolf 2” below, during 2008. The man stays on with Wolf by his
side.
Now, 10 years down the road, or the tree row as the case may be, the company is a full-blown
landscape design firm. While tree installation, care and removal are principal components of the business plan; landscape design and implementation are a major focus.
Rod has purposely kept the company a small industry with a primary
concern for
the clients’ needs. Service is the word of the day, every day. You will often hear Rod say, “Plan today; plant tomorrow.”
Wolf Landscape Design serves approximately a 75 mile radius
surrounding Ogallala, Nebraska. Hundreds of trees have been planted by this company
over the last 10 years. Many gardens and landscapes have been planned and installed during that same time period. Thousands of trees have been treated for pests and disease preserving the rural forest of Nebraska.
The future of Wolf Landscape Design is bright. We continue to strengthen our service industry, locate new perennial and shrub species of interest, and diversify our tree installations.
